Since they are happening pretty much every day, it will always be "too soon" to discuss gun control.

(149,831 posts)So much carnage is happening that the people are becoming outraged.
We're not getting used to the horror; rather, we are repulsed by the obvious inaction of our so-called "leaders."
And our outrage is leading us to wanting more gun control measures.

(9,287 posts)a target in a shooting gallery. I remember when the GOP complained about quality of life crime such as broken windows and aggressive begging. Yet the quality of life is totally destroyed by these mass shootings that are happening in every place where people gather as part of their quality of life such as schools, shopping centers, places of worship, concerts etc.
The worship of the gun is now the distinguishing feature of American culture. It is not our democracy which is hanging on by thread rather it is the random death that the GOP has sprinkled throughout our lives. I am not only angry but repulsed by the GOP values and I know that I am simply feeling what millions of Americans feel.

Never stop rubbing their faces in the blood they willingly accept.

(35,454 posts)see it yourself, go to a gun shop the day after a mass murder. The more talk of stronger
gun laws the more gun sales. It's been a never ending cycle for decades now.
