Something I haven't seen mentioned about the Bohemian Grove

Bohemian Grove

https://hiddenca.com/bohemian-grove/

Tucked away in a tiny town in Sonoma County sits a secret club known as the Bohemian Grove. Founded in 1872, this elite men’s-only club boasts some of the most powerful members in the world. For 2 weeks out of the year, past presidents, CEO’s of the country’s largest corporations, oil tycoons, major military contractors, banks (including the Federal Reserve) and national media head out to the redwoods. Here they partake in wild festivities and strange occult rituals.

Entertainment

As this is a men’s-only club, the entertainment is also all men (although there are rumors of female prostitution occurring on the grounds). For this reason, the theatrical performances have oftentimes included cross-dressing men. This should be no big deal, until you realize that almost the entirety of this club entails ultra-conservative, high-ranking men. These are the same men that are oftentimes in charge of enforcing the country’s rules, restricting the rights of the same people they are mimicking. Most of the entertainment was provided by members or their guests. Only a few were professional actors or musicians.

I guess it's "cross dressing for me and not for thee" according to these rethugs

Usually rich men demanding their girlfriends get 'em.

What, you expect the rich to play by the rules for the hoi-polloi?

He's done so many friendly things for Clarence and Ginny. And he's never asked for anything in return.

I'm sure Clarence is happy to write a nice Thank-You note to his good friend after every visit too.

8. In California, at least in the counties around Sonoma, the Bohemian Grove is at best a secret de Pol

the Bohemian Grove is at best a Secret de Polichinelle. Everyone knows it's there. Everyone knows, or hsa a pretty good idea, who goes there. Like, for instancce, Reagan. Both Bushes. Lots more.
Most who don't go there find the whole idea repulsive (like just about everything else about the very rich and the very powerful.) And I did know it was much older than I am, but I didn't realize the year was 1872. Right about the rime the North gave up on enforcing REconstruction.

10. Thanks for pointing out the importance of the era in which the club was started.

It seems to me that the club members are violating the Hatch Act (?) by allowing corporate CEOs to co-mingle with politicians in secret. Plus, they're bonding with each other in this isolated exclusive environment for a prolonged period of time.

He's like that with one person, a dozen, or even a hundred people, talking about any and everything. Often, he's a tough nut to crack because he is genuinely operates on a different plane. Neither above or below, just a different plane. I believe teenage Bob Weir learned about the other plane from Neal Cassady when they were roommates. Boy howdy, to have be a fly on the wall!
