It will take a year or more to start the Trump trial...

I have heard a couple of "experts" on TV say. Which would only leave 6 or 7 months until the next election.

However, if there is a federal charge by the DOJ, then it would move ahead of the misdemeanor charge, and whatever charges may arise from the Stormy Daniels (Michael Cohen) investigation? Most agree it is not the most serious of the charges.

Will they save the obstruction charge for last? After GA has indicted for campaign fraud?

Who will be next?

5. Trump's rights appear to be the only important and sacred rights involved.

We must let him destroy our democracy because his rights are the most
important consideration in the entire American justice system.

The safety of the the country and American people don't seem to matter.

Trump can start as many riots, put people in danger,
and create as much damage to the country as he wants.

We have to let him drag out all of his court hearings for many more years.
By which time he may have indeed burned it all down.

Anybody else who had started an insurrection, stolen classified documents, and threatened
judges and prosecutors, would have been in jail a long time ago.

-No longer are we talking about Garland sitting on his hands while our democracy is being destroyed.
-No longer are we talking about the "big fish" walking free while our democracy is being destroyed.
-No longer are we talking about Trump's top brass walking free while our democracy is being destroyed.
-No longer are we talking about Trump walking free while our democracy is being destroyed.

-We are now talking about Trump's right to have his day in court while our democracy is being destroyed.

That's one hell of a progress! If things go this well, pretty soon we will be talking about Trump serving his time while our democracy is being destroyed.

...In the mean time, we are not talking about one third of America's eligible voters not taking part in presidential elections while our democracy is being destroyed.

There is going to be a nearly unfathomable number of pretrial motions and whatnot.

Trump's legal teams always try to stretch things out. It is most likely that they will try that here, too. But it is possible that it will not be allowed it. The court system has not been particularly patient with his bullshit lately.

Indictments were called imminent but it has seemed like radio silence since Georgia legislators/defendants voted that they could fire Fani at any time.

Once the GA legislature voted that they can fire an elected DA. Doesn’t seem like people possibly getting indicted should be able to grant themselves the power to fire the person investigating them. Wondering if higher courts need to get involved before the case moves forward?

Perhaps there is more news on this. Not sure if the legislature vote has been put into law yet, I do remember there was some mention that it might take time for this to happen, although the process could be sped up if an urgency arises.

hurt his case or lead to additional charges. If I know one thing about Trump, it is that he has total self control.

Say the wrong thing and he winds up in jail. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

If there's multiple indictments, then multiple gag orders.

Pile it on, I say.
