John "It's just premature to talk about it." Thune

After the Nashville school shooting, Senate Minority Whip John Thune says any discussion of gun legislation is “premature,” even though a majority of voters support reforms.

CNN’s @mkraju : “130 mass shootings just this year alone.”

Thune: “It’s just premature to talk about it.”

We all know that hell will freeze over before the republicans do anything about gun reform. We'll talk about it when we finally vote your useless ass out!

"ONE ISSUE VOTERS" should target every politician who denies or waffles on gun reform and vote them out of office. If you do nothing about guns, you go down to defeat. End of story. Voting them out of office is the only way. They won't change.

This is an ideal issue for Dems. It's simple, concrete, and potent. The GOP supports the slaughter of children. The electorate knows. It's ugly, but it's true. The Dems MUST take control of the narrative. That's been a major reason that the GOP never has to go on the defensive. THEY CONTROL THE NARRATIVE. Either the Dems take away that control, or they tacitly support the slaughter of children themselves. We've seen this process go on for decades. The big money is ambivalent about the slaughter of children and adults. Again and again, profits mean more than life itself.

And I also heard Steve Scalise say much the same thing - and this joker was critically wounded by another mass shooter! What does it take?!
