Is it a big deal if there is no indictment in the NY case?

In my opinion, it has served as a gateway to open the other more "serious" cases.

It did accomplish a few things with Trump announcing he was going to be arrested on Tuesday. It got people talking about the porn star and the former president and whether or not he was guilty? And how important was it in the grand scheme of things?

But, to be connected with a porn star cannot be a great "positive" for someone that leans so heavily on the evangelical vote. It is difficult to see how it helped him at all?

If it ends up that there is no indictment, the media explosion of the last few days has not helped Donald Trump.

And it might help in the other indictments of the more "serious" crimes?

1. It would be a far bigger deal if there ARE indictments, not so much if there are none.

A single indictment for jaywalking, although not serious in itself, would set the precedent. THAT is the significance of Bragg's investigation. Indicting an ex-POTUS would be an accomplishment of epic proportions, never before achieved by any prosecutor in the history of the US. Even without convicting Trump or throwing him in jail, this act alone will impact forever the way future presidents will be regarded under the law. It would, pardon the metaphor, strip the fig leaf of invulnerability away from the future potential mushroom-dicked candidates for the office.

Should Bragg's indictment become reality, it would surely lead, as you noted, to a flood of other indictments, no longer held back by the old conventions that currently place ethical limits on how the law has been treating ex-presidents.

2. Trump is not president,

Indicting Trump for jay walking will only strengthen Trump.

Bragg will be torn to shreds by the MSM if he screws this up. Pomerantz and Dunne were prepared to bring more charges than jay walking when they were shut down.

I am giving Bragg the benefit of the doubt, just because there is a pause means nothing, people who are speculating have zero facts or information. Go get em Alvin.

So, the Access Hollywood tapes, 18 accusations of rape AND the Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal stories ALL BEFORE the 2016 election didn't deter the "evangelicals" yet somehow you think what they already know suddenly will?
