Can we stop this?

The media, even the so-called left wing liberal media, keeps babbling about 2024 as if Trump is just another legitimate Republican candidate and as if there are no indictments hanging over his head and he didn't lead an insurrection against the United States and everything is all hunky dory so we can have something to talk about on our broadcast time. I want to throw something at the television when that happens.

There should never be a mention of Trump's candidacy without adding to it his criminal conduct and while I understand that we cannot put any pressure at all on the justice department, and must walk on eggshells around the word "indictment" and can't make our feelings known that this criminal insurrectionist, illegitimate traitor is walking around free and running for president again and should be in jail now awaiting the first of many trials for his multiple crimes.

I picked up the phone this morning and called MSNBC during Scarborough. I let them have it. Anyone else want to do the same? Maybe we can get at least some journalists to acknowledge that fact. Trump's candidacy should never be mentioned without the cloud of criminal investigation hanging over him.

Or maybe they already know he's not going to be indicted. Then they should tell us that so we can all move on.

They seem totally baffled as to the solution on this situation. To me the solution to the gun violence is quite simple, vote for Democrats in overwhelming numbers. The republican party is the main cause of this problem

Whatever vehicle you have available, whether it’s a local paper or talk radio or message board or other media outlet, weigh in!

Time for a strategic reality check. Spread the good word: we’re blessed to have a great and smart and honest and kind and compassionate President at the helm of our ship of state. I’m proud to support him, and I’m eagerly looking forward to voting for him again.

And it helps to buttress your assertion with a brief mention of one or two of President Biden’s accomplishments.

Until we can get Republicans to admit that the party is the problem, we’re not gonna get improvement. We can no longer accept that there are some good Republicans. If they are good people, they can switch parties

If he were to get into power, he'd sink this country into a new, neo-fascist dark age.

You can stop watching. Wanting to silence because you don't like it, well, be careful what you wish for. Enjoy the 1st amendment while it still exists.

The media will do everything they can to re-elect Trump. And, if he isn't indicted by the time people start voting, there won't be 81 million democratic voters this time. A lot of poeple voted against Trump more than they voted for Biden & they want to see Trump held to account. You can't keep telling people to get out & vote to save democracy, & then not do anything to those who threaten democracy when you have the power to do so. An indictment would change the media's narrative, but yes, the eggshells.

Ever since Cable and Fox "news" came on the air, and networks didn't have to provide news as a public service, the idea of news as infotainment instead of reality based has pretty much taken over all the network conglomerate. Actual Journalists are rare, most are news readers, opiners or on-the-spot action play by play type announcers.

You will rarely get someone who actually tries to gather facts and make a coherent report on the "What, Who, When, Where, Why" parts of any news story.

It's pretty much been "We announce, you decide and advertisers pay our bosses" since the 1980's. No more of that Cronkite or Huntley/Brinkley reporting out there, except for a few in-depth issue shows that will, for the most part, have some corporate direction as to the nature of the conclusions.
