(117,873 posts)A Trump aide had previously copied those same documents onto a thumb drive and laptop, not realizing they were classified. The laptop, which belonged to an aide, who works for Save America PAC, and the thumb drive were also given to investigators in January.
So it would depend on why the aide copied the documents. Did TFG tell him to do it?

(4,587 posts)of intent at each level. Now the aide can claim lack of intent because he didn't know they were classified. The Orange Ruski has already laid out his claim of ability to declassify "on the spot and just doing so in his mind" so he can claim (laughingly) lack of intent. Remember also that he didn't want a real transition team for himself or to let the Biden team have access in the WH.
A big thank you to the ones giving me hearts.

(34,020 posts)Whatever documents the feds took back doesn't matter because he can make new copies anytime he wants. He can also send thumb drives out to his buddies anywhere in the world. The documents he took from the Oval Office are already a couple years old. The older they get, the less they're worth.
