Outrage

I don't know what it is about Joe Biden's actions, statements, and overall agenda that has you Republicans so outraged.

Is it those historically low unemployment numbers that are driving you crazy? Is it the strengthening of our failing infrastructure that has you out on the nearest ledge? Is lowering the price of insulin the straw that's breaking your back?

Is it the idea that your tax dollars are being spent on feeding hungry children instead of funding the shipment of immigrants to northern cities to be dumped without food, clothing, and the money needed to survive? You keep calling yourselves 'good Christians' - and yet I'm not seeing the teachings of Christ reflected in Republican policies that deny feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, caring for the sick and dying.

Maybe your objection to Biden is more personal. Is it the fact that Joe Biden is lauded as a true leader the world over, while Trump was laughed at by world leaders as a buffoon? Is it the fact that you can't find any nude pics of the current First Lady, no matter how many Google searches you try? Is it the fact that 'Sleepy Joe' keeps accomplishing things that actually improve the lives of hard-working, middle-class Americans?

I really don't understand what Republican voters are so outraged about , other than what they've been told to be outraged about by the powers-that-be in the GOP who have nothing to offer but - you guessed it - OUTRAGE.

Their lying networks for profits (FOX NEWS, OANN, NEW YORK POST, and 1,500 hate-radio stations) are the only tools they rely on to get elected (along with gerrymandering & voter-suppression laws) a slim majority in the House and a 'filibuster-stale' Senate.

It's all they have, but sadly, it works for them (to get billions in donations from the obscenely wealthy).

How the red meat bells work:
1. RW media tell audience that they should be angry because of a particular outrage- real, exaggerated, or entirely fabricated.
2. RW media tells their audience that the outrage is entirely due to the actions (or negligence) of Joe Biden or woke liberals.
3. Repeat with the next outrage.

Republican voters are well-trained pack animals.

Obama showed them to be inferior, so they put Trump in, who is clearly inferior, who unleashed hatred and evil, reinforcing their inferiority, Covid breaks what little confidence they have in themselves and then Biden comes along and demonstrates every day how adults are supposed to act. Their insecurities and inferiority complexes have been pushed to the forefront, and now they rage. Their anger is really at themselves, hence the massive projection, but they will never accept that reality about themselves.

other than what they've been told to be outraged about by the powers-that-be in the GOP

... their "outrage" reflects the script of their major donors & lobbyists of the Koch network. They have third party intelligence and data gathering groups, and totally instructive lobbying strategies we Dems should know about.

Since the Obama presidency, Koch has astroturfed more local voter outrage that's gotten rid of bipartisan Republicans, because of the Democratic (commie/socialist/climate change) threat to his privately held (the biggest in America) crude oil & gas refineries, pipelines, financial futures trading, etc., but forward as "freedom" and "the republic."

I recommend Kochland, the only in depth book I've read that's still a page turner. And as relevant right now as ever. The WaPo reviewer is totally wrong when he says, "For the most part, Leonard steers clear of the Kochs’ influence on politics," which proves he hasn't read Part 3. It includes a little known climate change select committee formation decision by legendary Speaker Pelosi; the rest of Pt 3 should scare Democrats.

Koch is definitely a Hayek/von Mises man.

It's good to always err on the side or knowing that Koch is behind all things anti-Biden and Republican, because he's been at it for 50 years.

Sheldon Whitehouse followed Koch's money in owning SCOTUS, now we've got to follow the money behind the DC GOP and statehouses. His Americans For Prosperity has offices in at least 31 states and DC.

One example is my Republican sister-in-law. I dared to look at her timeline on Facebook. According to her, everything is Biden's fault, real or imagined and they have a huge imagination.
She complains that immigrants are are drug dealers and rapists, just as Trump said while he was coming down an escalator over six years ago. It doesn't help that she already had something against brown people who don't speak her language.
She believes the crime in New York City is Biden's fault and the "radical left." She got her "original" COVID vaccine, but refused to get any boosters because she has "plenty of immunitieS". My wife told her that I didn't want to see her until she got her COVID boosters. She said "REALLY?" She called me on my cell and I tried to explain to her that the "original" shots were mostly worn off and the boosters prevented most people from winding in the hospital or have milder cases. She said "that's what they say." This after she found my brother, eyes to the ceiling, dead after running some time after he had COVID.
And, she listens to Fux News. One of her reasons for not getting the booster is that her mother never got a flu shot and never had the flu. Yet, her mother died of pneumonia. I told my wife, "I don't care if we never see her again. She is simply not smart enough to do the things that will keep her healthy. She does not HAVE a doctor. Most people I know, close to our age have one or more doctors.
We both went to the same hair cutter for a long time, but after finding out that she didn't "believe in" vaccinations we fired her after COVID struck.
Don't try to make sense out of what conservatives believe, they are stubborn and do not like facts that are inconvenient to them. They are not capable of critical thinking and do not like to learn anything new if it goes against their stupid ideology.

It frustrates me, to be sure, but staying alive is more important to me than relatives or friends who insist on believing the likes of Fucker Carlson and company. One common theme I find is that most of them are not well educated. Even in high school I learned how the immune system works. (at a layman's level.)

Ever notice that virtually all late night comedians are liberals?

They lack the intellectual curiosity to BELIEVE anything. So, they listen to what Fox Noise tells them to believe, and repeat that as their "belief." If Fox Noise says Putin is the second coming of Jesus, they will be only too happy to explain why they believe it--and then they will repeat verbatim what the latest Fox host told them to believe. It's a hell of a lot more convenient than thinking on your own, and leaves time for munching Doritos while watching their favorite TV reruns, washed down by Kavanaugh's favorite beer.

The answer to "Don't you realize what you're saying?" "Don't you realize the consequence of voting like you do?" "Don't you realize what will happen if your people seize power?" is always--if they are honest, which they seldom are--a resounding NO!

After all, like (our version of) Ethel Merman sang-- "there's no business like NO business:"
