CBS News last night, this is NOT a feel good story.

Man donates money anonymously to pharmacy to pay for peoples meds.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/steve-hartman-on-the-road-hody-childress-pays-prescriptions-geraldine-alabama/

It is the story that in America people cannot afford life saving medicine. It is a story of people who keep voting Republicans to run their State despite the fact that they refused to expand Medicaid and provide them with healthcare. And have fought every effort to make drugs more affordable.

It is not a feel good story, it is the story of a country that does not take care of its people and the voters who keep those in power who make it that way.

The poorest counties in Idaho vote around 75-25 Republican, and in some instances much worse. These are the very people who have little to no access to affordable health care. At the same time, they are "terrified of socialism". The combination of misplaced fear and enforced ignorance is literally killing people.

Right next door to MTG's GA-14. 84% of voters cast their ballots for Trump in 2020. 15% for Joe Biden.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/results-alabama.html

In 2022, the R incumbent for AL-4 won by, you guessed it, 84% to 15%.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/11/08/us/elections/results-house.html

I'd bet you dollars to donuts onecaliberal is correct.

No-exception forced birth. Enough bullshit to cloud what's left of the minds of those who are flat-out oblivious to who and what is making their lives miserable. The surefire way to control people is to keep them afraid and stupid. Critical thinking doesn't stand a chance.

Compare that to Japan and Hong Kong at over 85. The filthy rich are taking away 9 years of our life so they can make more profit off your health.

Are so Gerrymandered and eliminate all the voters they can that are smart enough to see the con.
The ones they allow to vote are the most idiotic of idiots that vote Guns and Gawd. Our country for a large part is not as stupid as MAGA, and under this GQP that small percentage will stay in power. And about to get worse with the case in the SC corner right now from North Carolina. That will allow only Legislators to pick winners. The GQP oligarchs have been stacking courts for the ultimate coup for decades. The fruits of their labor are here. And by the time the MAGA’s feel that foreign object up their asses, no vote will matter. Elections will no longer exist. We have a window, right now, and sad to say the damn country is in the hands of Garland and This Supremacy Court.
After a few decades of their rule and their education, the whole damn country will be a stupid as MTG, BooBert Barbie, and all the trump men.
For health are, best make friends with a tribal medicine man and learn to consume natures meds.
Maybe after passing the bill to end Covid to rid us of it, GQP can pass a bill to end heart disease and diabetes.
But for guns, “forget about it”. That disease will continue to spread until it ends our species. As Gawd intended. Why kill all his creations to end humans. No floods or global fires that will end all he created. Let em wipe out themselves and his best creations will thrive.

They're convinced government is incapable of helping anything. They sympathize with and support those who rail against government. It is their point of pride.

In the old Confederacy it is wrapped into pride for their "southern heritage", the lost but "valiantly fought" cause. Carrying an undying torch for the defeated is in their DNA along with their refusal to accept black integration into their community.
