Yes, Garland is the AG and oversees the FBI.
But the latest searches on Biden's home were done by the FBI.
Chris Wray has been as quiet as a church mouse since the "insurrection" of January 6th, although he did testify once about domestic terrorism and white supremacists. Otherwise, he has been in the shadows.
Although we are told that the FBI is not political, we do recall Rudy Guiliani bragging about working with friends at the FBI during the Mueller investigation. It seems that there may be some in the FBI that are very pro-Trump and anti-Biden.
Can Biden get a fair shake from the FBI?

(43,466 posts)In the one press conference I watched by Wray, he never looked at the camera or the reporters. He just monotoned his spiel. Such tactics tell you something. Like someone's trying to pull a fast one, or they have something to hide, or something we can't talk about is going on.

(53,971 posts)The timing of the all of a sudden multiple discoveries of classified docs in an old office being cleaned out. I mean it wouldn't be hard to find out the premises was once Biden's after his vice presidency and to access it, perhaps secretly.
Aren't Secret Service members always around the president and monitor/guard him in his home and garage where other docs were allegedly found?
This whole document discovery scandal is so-o-o-o convenient now that Jack Smith was racheting up the trump stolen doc case.
Joe Biden prefers SS agents from his days as veep rather than trump-era SS agents.

(86,015 posts)...so why should we believe he's protecting anyone?
Administrations bring in their own Justiice Dept. leadership, as Biden did at the beginning of his presidency. The suggestion that they're compromised or biased isn't evidenced by anything Ray has done or hasn't done yet.
No evidence of what you posit at all.
