Morning ConsultSix in 10 Kentucky voters approve of Beshears job performance while 34% disapprove, according to data collected Oct. 1-Dec. 31. The figures which make him the nations most popular Democratic governor are generally in line with Beshears standing throughout Joe Bidens presidency, two years which took a toll on other red-state Democrats such as Govs. Laura Kelly of Kansas and John Bel Edwards of Louisiana.
Though half of Kentucky Republicans give Beshear negative marks, 46% give a thumbs-up to his handling of the job, making him the most popular Democratic governor with voters of the opposite party as well.
Roughly half of Kentucky independents (49%) approve of Beshears job performance, along with 87% of Democrats in the Bluegrass State.

(22,355 posts)Every day, I get emails from his office about, either new businesses coming here, or existing businesses expanding.
One recent email: "Gov. Beshear chosen by fellow Appalachian governors to lead in bringing jobs, opportunity to region."
I also received an email today: A dozen Republicans file for Kentucky governor's race.
Three statewide officials and a former United Nations ambassador filed to run against Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in Kentucky. He's the only incumbent Democratic governor up for re-election in 2023.
He's going to be up against some very deep pockets. I'd like to see a DU fund get started for him.
