Martin Luther King Jr. said that. Republicans sneer at the hope/morality/wisdom of that concept. Most of us believe it.
I guess it comes down to the basic battle of "good" vs "evil."
As a devout agnostic, I must admit that I have "faith" that "good" will prevail as we evolve. But then, perhaps I'm a fool.

I don't have any faith that good will prevail, but I do have faith
that some humans will always fight the good fight.

It seems to be both a sad commentary on humanity, and a lifeline that says many will always resist. Always.

It is hard wired into the human brain.
If that ever ends, we will no longer be human.
But evolved into another species altogether.

It's only bent toward justice because people of goodwill got out and fought to bend it.
