...to keep things right the way they are.

I'm glad the President was re-elected, but all he will accomplish in his second term is vetoing the teabagger House, and replacing one or two Justices with similar Justices for a net gain of zero is SCOTUS.

With Congress set to return to session, GOP lawmakers have doubled-down on their opposition to the tax increases being advocated by Obama as a way to reduce the budget deficit. The president campaigned on letting the tax cuts first introduced by George W. Bush expire for Americans earning more than $250,000 a year. Republicans—who retained their control of the House of Representatives—are determined to block that agenda.

House Speaker John Boehner said in a Tuesday speech that “our Republican majority has been the primary line of defense for the American people. “The American people want solutions and, tonight, they've responded by renewing our House Republican majority,” the Ohio congressman said. “With this vote, the American people have also made clear that there is no mandate for raising tax rates. … We will never let you down.”

a national electoral landslide. Given the gerrymandering that occurred in GOP controlled states, I wonder what the aggregate voting numbers were for the House. For example, I believe more votes were cast in N.C. for dem house candidates than for GOP candidates, yet the GOP took 9 seats to the Dems 4.

The turtle knows he's fucked and Reid is going to change the rules to ROYALLY fuck him over. Boner and "Mickey Mouse voice" Cantor are has-beens. rLyan has been sent to the nose-bleed bleachers. If the Boner blocks Obama in the near future, the House will be a solid blue zone in two years. Mark my words on that. Boner knows it. He just doesn't want to admit it.

Mark my words.
