I don't know about you guys. But I spent a good hour or so arguing with a group of them. At the end of it, I was called rude because I reacted sarcastically to the initial point that "Obama is a Socialist." I think it's only fair to be sarcastic, especially since I'm a socialist myself and take offense to that insult. These people would not budge whatsoever, no matter how many facts I provided. Did this happen to any of you, or did you just ignore them and keep celebrating?

2. I have a different tack: I don't have ANY right-wing friends. I had one Libertarian type friend

whom I really liked, but he's not talking to me any more. I do have some crazy right-wing relatives, but thankfully, also have some cool left-wing relatives as well.

The few snide comments I saw were from people commenting on 'their' walls. I just ignored them, mainly because I'm tired of beaten a dead horse in front of a brick wall with these types of people. I just wanted to enjoy the evening.

10. I have one acquaintance that has gone totally unhinged and, frankly, scaring me.

She's ranting about getting her CCW to protect herself because she is afraid. She is military and ranting that she wants to quit because she won't fight for a socialist country.

Many others are VERY upset, but this one has a paranoid rage I've only read about.

They went through the same paranoia in 2008 and started stocking up on guns. "Obama is gonna take my guns!" But Obama and the Dems didn't even touch gun control.

They are paranoid and doing the same thing again.

I wouldn't want to be around them if they lost their temper.

11. I lost quite a few right wing friends

Our debates on FB were getting pretty intense. I never name called and presented facts. But each time I did, I got hit with a line of more attacks against Obama some of the included cuss words directed at me. I was debating 3 friends at one time.

I finally had enough and ended up deleting several of my friends from facebook. Half of them relatives who were posting racially biased insults towards Obama. They were all from Las Vegas. I was so happy Nevada won. I kind of wish now I didn't delete them because I'm wondering what they are posting now. I bet they are ticked off even more. But that is their problem.
