Otherwise, if he were a POC he would be doing 5 years.

(42,770 posts)me that as a simple person, I was required to tell CT that I moved to Florida and was not voting in CT anymore.
But his antics stink. It's so obvious he was trying to position himself to be able to vote where his R vote was needed the most.
Must not be a crime... So POC *shouldn't* get nailed either??? Surely it's not an actual crime not to notify old voting state.

(7,626 posts)we are the most incarcerated nation on the planet. What up with that?

(70,516 posts)He was just voting in North Carolina by registering @ a house that he never lived @ while
living in Washington, D.C.. How many times has Meadows talked about voter fraud?

(1,474 posts)Not a lawyer, obviously, but it often seems that where criminal charges fail a civil action might succeed. I still can't understand why that little shit Rittenhouse hasn't been sued for wrongful death, etc.
grantcart
(53,061 posts)For an attorney to take on Rittenhouse they would have to be willing to invest a significant sum ($ 20k?) out of pocket on a case that may be morally reprehensible but
a) difficult to achieve a legal threshold
b) have little chance to recover an award because the kid has no assets.

(9,481 posts)The Cons can get theoretical cases in front of SCOTUS.
HardPort
(1,474 posts)... for the rest of his life. But admittedly, I have no clue what qualifies as a legal threshold in such a case, but there must be a tort that fits here??

(3,503 posts)What about his DOG! Did his dog mail in an absentee ballot?
They need to look into that.
Although I'm sure Meadows couldn't convince his dog to vote for Trump.

(32,641 posts)He claimed residence in 2 states and registered to vote in 2 states, which is clearly illegal. However I think he only actually voted in one state, not in North Carolina. Well OK North Carolina is looking the other way, they say they're letting it go.
We KNOW the important stuff will not be overlooked. Federal prosecutors have so much on Meadows now for other serious crimes, this seems like small potatoes.

(42,770 posts)When you bought property and boom you will be registered to vote? That's exactly what he needs to explain! Why in the world was he registered in SC. Or do they know that? Story 5th down on list :?

(42,770 posts)Know of an instance where a POC was registered in three states who got nailed,? Not trying to be snarky in the least. Just trying to understand what the equation is
DemocraticPatriot
(4,369 posts)Of COURSE "he will not be prosecuted" for "voter fraud crimes" of which he is very clearly "GUILTY!"
(speaking as a fed-up white man democrat who grew up understanding what A. Lincoln and the American civil war was all about...

(42,770 posts)Why NC didn't prosecute him. If jeez probably can't say that. But don't know about the SC deal Do you? Impressed that NC could and did check multiple states to see if he was registered in multiple states.
BTW! Hey DP!!! Don't get your comment but pretty dense as usual
