I guess it is sinful for some to have a real name for their deity.

and that might have pissed some christian off.

Could be a "reason", or it could not be. I had a Great Aunt who was a JW and she never celebrated Xmas.

The jw threw a hissy fit over some garland along one of the hallways. My friend, and another tenant, did the only sensible thing. They decorated around all the common areas of the building. The jw is seething. She is one of the most disliked residents.

The one you mention probably would have been an asshole regardless of her religion - too many people think only their religion is the correct one and everybody else should observe it too, or at least not express their own "offensive" contrary beliefs. Like my late grandmother often said, "No wonder we have wars."

It was lit on fire no less than four time in one year - they now have gates around the main entry and other fire prevention and the fires have stopped (there were a few other in the area around the same time - not sure if they are related).

Whomever the arsonist is they apparently have a thing against JWs (former member or anti-JW). You never know though - could be lots of possibilities. Everyone should feel safe to live their lives as they see fit.

They have a lot in common with the JW's: they just suck the joy out of everything in life, preferring mindless adherence to pointless religious strictures over living a happy and fulfilling life.

THORNTON — A married couple is dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a Jehovah’s Witnesses hall in Thornton on Christmas morning, and a hazmat team is investigating “suspicious devices” found at the scene, authorities said.

Thornton police said they received an initial report at 9 a.m. Sunday of a structure fire at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 951 Milky Way, according to a news release.

That was followed by a report that an adult man shot and killed an adult woman, and that the man then fatally shot himself, police said.

The dead couple were married and former members of the Kingdom Hall congregation, Thornton police said. Their identities will be released later by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
