(3,636 posts)Twitter is in no position to generate the income he needs to make the loan payments, and many of them are explicitly backed by Musk's Tesla stock in case that happens. At this point I don't see any way he manages to keep his stake in Tesla, and the shitshow will hurt the company badly even as Musk exits stage left. When it all settles I figure he will still have majority stake in SpaceX and probably be worth maybe $80 billion, down from $200b, which is going to be tough when he wants to get a Starbucks in the morning.

(50,601 posts)Satellite owners are EXTREMELY risk-averse. There's a good chance that community is going to take a look at the Twitter-Tesla drama and tell SpaceX, "we're not buying any more of your rockets while he's in charge."
