Their main doctrine is Right or Wrong, Oppose EVERY Democratic Initiative.

In that they are perfectly willing to watch Ukraine succumb, so long as it isn't during a Republican administration.

For the next year. The gqp doesn’t have the votes to stop aide to Ukraine according according to the head gqp house ways and means cmte member.

But "getting his ass kicked" isn't accurate. Ukraine's losses are also high, but Ukraine doesn't talk about them. Both sides have probably lost >100K.

It's a meat grinder. The front lines have stabilized since Russia withdrew to the S. side of the Dnieper.

But Putin has no regard for the cost to Russia in lives or treasure. He is an Imperialist Autocrat who thinks he stands astride History.

He wants the GQP to destroy America. But otherwise, our supplying weapons to Ukraine gives him the propaganda points that they are fighting the US. Losing to Ukraine would be far too embarrassing, and frankly, while the outcome would be different, Putin will never conquer Ukraine.
