The Twitter owner recently held a poll putting his future as CEO in the hands of social media users.
It took time but Elon Musk finally kept his word.
The whimsical and charismatic visionary will respect the results of the poll he himself organized on December 18.

Voters had only two options: Yes and No. Nearly 18 million Twitter users had voted and 57.5% had opted for Yes. Musk had pledged to respect the results of the vote.

so, while he doesn't have the title of CEO, he still owns it and runs the entire engineering team, leaving only the sales team which, as we all know, is in the shitter.

(34,136 posts)He has said he will resign once he finds a replacement. Not the same thing, especially since the article suggests he has been playing games with people who have come forward; finding excuses not to name them as CEO - or putting up artificial barriers.
