these really matter here in CA. Prop 30 undid the horrible rule tax hikes needed 2/3 vote. Prop 32 would have made union political spending almost impossible. Kochs dropped another 11 million for prop 32 in last 10 days and still lost.

She kept the Texas Senate from achieving super majority status.
Dems also kept our house from super majority as well.

That's a big deal in Texas.

A very local race-- TX State Sen Wendy Davis winning re-election in a squeaker. The GOP in the TX State Sen are denied a super-majority. Additionally, Sen Davis is one of the most intelligent, affable, and pragmatic of the TX political establishment. Smart money has her eventually going onto the national state... which would be bitter-sweet for to lose a voice in the state house, yet gain one in D.C.

Although there was a lot to love last night, I was so happy that incumbent Congressman Tim Bishop beat Randy Outsourcer. Bishop is a real progressive and his opponent appears to be mainly a dick.
