Elon Musk fired Twitter's head of sales after she refused to sack more employees. He had previously

begged her not to resign.

Elon Musk fired a top Twitter executive after she refused to sack more employees in the ad sales team, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to Insider.

Robin Wheeler, Twitter's global head of advertising sales, handed in her resignation on Thursday 10, but Musk persuaded her to stay in the job, the sources told Insider's Lara O'Reilly, and as Bloomberg earlier reported.

One week later, the billionaire changed his mind. Two sources said Wheeler was fired on Friday after she refused to cut the headcount of Twitter's ad sales team — a department that was already depleted.

Wheeler, whose Twitter bio now says "proud Ex-Twitter Sales Exec," tweeted on Friday in the past tense, saying: "To the team and my clients….you were always my first and only priority." She concluded the tweet with a salute emoji, a sign that has recently become symbolic for Twitter employees leaving the company amid layoffs and firings.

I should think all his dispatched employees should find a welcome landing at many other companies--they wear a badge of honor, after all.

Before long, no sales pitch on earth will draw ads from any respectable company.

Mush has dictators and bad actors as partners. They want Twitter to either outright burn or get turned into something disreputable like 4chan.

For $44 billion they will destroy one of the most effective global platforms for distributing info, science, ideas, Revolution, news etc.

A bargain in their eyes if I had to guess

They got rid of all the top-level, most experienced and capable employees to save money.

That entire division of the company is now completely gone.

He developed a practice group from nothing to $4,000,000 per year.

But he was too expensive so they shoved him out.

Stupid.

But probably not $44 Billion stupid.

was a “reality” show about him firing people. I guess that did better with focus groups than him kicking puppies or taking candy from children.

...of all the people you'd think shouldn't be fired, the people who are bringing in money are at the top of the list. I realize Tesla doesn't advertise, but very few companies are in that situation.
