Here is hoping that Nancy Pelosi will mentor the next Dem Minority Leader and

the new Dem Minority Leader will be smart enough to embrace her mentoring.

3. You know what would really piss those people off?

AOC as minority leader. She could do the job well, but they’ll probably pick someone who’s been in Congress longer. Jeffries would also be a fine choice.

4. I disagree. AOC doesn't have the experience or temperament. Her public criticism of fellow Democrats

is not what is needed in a Speaker who needs to bring the party together

5. Hakeem Jeffries has been well prepared.

Glad to know Nancy Pelosi will be there for him to lean on.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), the current chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said he will run for House minority leader after Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Thursday that she will not seek reelection to a leadership role, according to two people familiar with the decision who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private conversations.

10. I have no doubt both she and Steny Hoyer will be great mentors.

They already have been for years. And, I have no doubt the ones coming up are smart people, who have been paying attention all along.

13. I'm sure she will be there for whoever it is

Jeffries is a good choice, although I was hoping for Jamie Raskin. I also really hope Adam Schiff runs for Feinstein's seat.

19. Don't know why anyone doesn't know this, or assume there's been no mentoring

or no pathway for succession and so on.

Guess it's the rule of always assuming the worst about Democrats.

Again:

20. I Think That's The Plan

At least, according to Steny Hoyer's statement. The Jedi Masters will take on the mentoring of their Padawans.
