I saw this tweet after reading something else.

Kyle has some explaining to do.

Why would he say this and discourage voter turnout?


It is extremely sad Kyle would promote this on his twitter feed.

I had the same thought but I meant it in the context that GA wasn't make or break for control now since we already had 50 seats. No doubt he did too. I believe that Republicans will not go all to elect Walker now since control of the Senate is off the table. And no I don't think Manchin is going to withdraw from the Dem caucus.

People are getting sanctimonious over a simple statement that on the most basic level is true. But Twitter doesn’t do nuance and feeds on outrage.

People are working hard on Warnock's behalf. An 85-year-old woman just called me from Tennessee. Although I usually hate donating over the phone, it seemed legit so I went ahead and donated.

But anyway, my point is that he's shitting on thousands of people who are working hard to keep Georgia Blue. Not to mention, some of our senators are in red governor states and could potentially be replaced by a republican if something were to happen. We definitely need more padding and should not be comfortable with the bare minimum.

There are two major advantages to the Democrats getting 51 seats.

1. The Democrats will have majorities in all committees and can issue subpoenas. Currently each Senate committee have an equal number of republicans and democrats on the committee. One cannot issue a subpoena with the vote of the majority of a committee which is why the senate cannot do any major investigations.

2. Speed up nomination confirmation process for judges. Since there are an equal number of republicans and Democrats on the judiciary committee, the vote on a good number of judicial nominees have been ties and had to go to the full senate to break the tie. That is one reason why VP Harris has casted so many tie breaker votes.

Having 51 senators is a big deal.

I know he doesn’t mean to suppress votes but that’s exactly what he’s doing. He needs to delete that.

I like Kyle but this is not helpful.
