*BEEP* Hello Mr Johnson, this is Dr. Nelson. We reviewed your appeal for your fiancée's abortion and I am sorry but the law is clear. There is no exception for rape, our hands are tied. We should schedule pre-natal visits and parenting classes for the two of you. The May due date will be here before you know it. You have a long road ahead of you.*BEEP*

What's heavy handed is SCOTUS' Dobbs decision.

It is heavy handed because the first person POV enables the viewer to put themselves in the scene. It does not require an endorsement of any candidate. The message speaks for itself.

It is effective for them same reasons

A realistic message that says "Your rape kit will be processed in 5-10 years, if ever. But vote for Democratic candidates."

Or an unrealistic one those illustrates that voting matters and who you vote for can affect you personally?

Bo Hines is touting. "We've received your application. Your community review will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. Please wear comfortable clothes; a doctor will be present. Please bring any evidence you believe would be helpful for the panel of community members to review. Remember, you will be making the case for yourself, no experts may help you, and you have no right to dismiss anyone from the panel. Law enforcement will also be present." Etc.

A screenwriter or in advertising.

That would indeed be more accurate although the reality of no exception is not inaccurate.

I also wanted to have a scenario that would relate to men as well as women. I'm not sure focusing only on the proposed panels would resonate as much with men.

I think a fiance would be horrified that his wife-to-be would be facing trauma from some board of community randos to justify a likely nonexistent exception for rape. But I don't write ads, either.

And we may not be eye to eye I respect your consistent, unwavering stance. You epitomize a Patton quote I place great value in-

If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking.

Your respect means a lot to me, and I have always been grateful for your willingness to consider my points in good faith. I know that when we're in conversation, we'll likely get somewhere -- and if we don't, it's OK, because your responses always make me think.
