When the UN Security Council is 60% authoritarian dictatorships, it's not happening at the UN....but that does not preclude the world's interest in liquidating Putin. Power struggle, for sure, but I think a Russian vision of a conservative social democracy could happen post-Putin.

(51,632 posts)But I am not so sure now. There are too many mass murderous dictators that should have been easily taken out in the past but for some reason it never happens. Did those who attempted to assassinate Hitler scare future assassins? I used to think the CIA had connections but now I am doubtful about their abilities as well

(86,803 posts)Somewhere there are conversations about it, couldn't say where but there certainly have been and are ongoing.
Problem is, the perp has insulated himself from being assassinated for decades and has a pretty stout barrier from harm. Not as easy task getting near him. Hopefully one of his faithful turn on him and do him in and soon.
