They should have told him, "YOU'RE FIRED!" his 1st season!

NBC, like all of the commercial media, like having their CEOs, top executives & multimedia talking heads paid multi-million$ unfairly lumped into the same tax bracket as a working middle class family or a small business owner earning $647,850!

Flat taxes are effectively regressive taxation.that please the elitely paid (excuding Bill Gates & Warren Buffet & others who already understand the benefits to ALL of US!.

Dollars that could be used to help build Personal MaglevTransit modularly.

"you know, I hated Ronald Reagan, but there was this SNL skit about Carter, so...."

I worked on Carter's campaign, and took an in-depth class on the 1980 President election (with access to campaign staff) and...no, some SNL skits didn't skew the election.

Ford was repeatedly characterized as an absent-minded klutz. Carter was the beneficiary of that portrayal. At the end of the day, incumbents are always fair game on SNL.

to interrogate Saudi dissidents, which pissed off OBL & resulted in 911 & THOUSANDS of dead & 10s of thousands of maimed Americans, so, yes I did not like Reagan & regret that President Carter was unfairly deprived a 2nd term.

Side note, while in Hawaii, I wrote his Department of Transportation about an idea of mine about adding computer coordinated slot tracks to our roads, & got back several books about personal rapid transit & maglev technology & research.

Had a very unfunny sketch with the new people, where one was talking about Lorne Michaels making her assassinate Putin.

SNL hasn’t been worth a damn since Eddie Murphy left. Most people today, I think, have no clue how good it was back in the late ‘70s, mid-‘80s. Why NBC keeps flogging this dead horse I’ll never know.

From Houston to Hawaii to California.

I miss the warm water of Texas, from waterskiing & even wake surfing on the San Jacinto River in 1966 to surfing at Surf Side & Quitana Beach & all the other surf breaks of Texas from Galveston south to Padre Island & Port Isabel.

I do not miss the humidity or mosquitoes though!

Or the draconian laws for cannabis, or the Guns-Gone-Wild culture of the RNC punks.

This is what they do. They make skits about public figures and mock them. They did it to Trump, they did it to Obama, they did it to Bush (both of them), they did it to Clinton. President Biden isn’t a sacred cow who can’t be satired.

How many times did Baldwin do Trump in the cold open? I think your issue is with the poor writing and how the show has deteriorated.

“Good” comedy does not fall along political lines, as many others have pointed out.

Really surprised at the posts here today, taking issue with networks and shows that don’t pay what they consider proper deference to Democrats. No individual or institution is above criticism or parody. That’s not how this country rolls — at least, not yet.
