Herschel Walker's commitment to Christ

Newt Gingrich, a fellow adulterer, did actually say that Walker was "the most important Senate candidate in the country” due to his “deep commitment to Christ.” I don't know if this is a sick joke, irony taken to a whole new level, or bona fide proof that absolutely anybody is qualified to run for office on the Republican ticket.

are trying to conform their so-called Christianity to fit their characters.

Ethics/Morality doesn't work that way. It's not even moral relativism.

Marco Rubio is a classic example of this type of fraudster, with his daily biblical passage tweets.

It's designed to sell an image to others that is contrary to whom they really are. The more a person tries to so this, or the more religious symbolism they use, the more they are struggling to convince others they are of higher moral character.

Tartuffe is a sanctimonious scoundrel who, professing extreme piety, is taken into the household of Orgon, a wealthy man. Under the guise of ministering to the family’s spiritual and moral needs, he almost destroys Orgon’s family. Elmire, Orgon’s wife, sees through Tartuffe’s wicked hypocrisy and exposes him.

Play by Moliere
As a result of Molière's play, contemporary French and English both use the word "tartuffe" to designate a hypocrite who ostensibly and exaggeratedly feigns virtue, especially religious virtue.

Elmer Gantry
Novel by Sinclair Lewis
The novel's protagonist, the Reverend Dr. Elmer Gantry, is initially attracted by booze and easy money (though he eventually renounces tobacco and alcohol) and chasing women. After various forays into evangelism, he becomes a successful Methodist minister despite his hypocrisy and serial sexual indiscretions.

Herschel Walker is only "important" in that he's so clueless that he would be a perfect puppet for the GOP to use and control. He'll carry out anything they ask of him no questions.

Walker seems like a very good representation of Conservative Christians in America today.

I dunno, but the GQP tend to ignore that there are Christians that try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and are quite upset with the so called Christians and label them as evil.

Indies in most part are not happy campers, and POC voting right are being demolished. The US SC RWer portion is about to kill whats left of the voting rights act.

RWers hate women and consider them as 3rd class citizens, and they hate poor people too. Overall, I still believe Democrats will keep the senate and the house

TBH, the only Christians I "know" are former President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter.
Gotta live it to be it.
