Older family members who do not work are mobilizing a helpscavan to travel to FL Starting on Sunday.
Just had a call from family in NJ and PA.
They will stop by NC, SC, GA family members who signup or call up for aid. So far we have 8 members with 5 autos/vans. Those who can't make the trip will donate money for gas and supplies. Some have arranged for motel rooms where available. We will pick up others along the way but our FL families are in dire need. Most are old, sick and immobile. No contact with anyone since Tuesday.
Locating folks will be difficult but our family ROCKS!! Really worried about family in and around Myrtle Beach also now.
I can't make the trip as I am caregiver for two elders (95 and 92), giving money and a prepaid credit card. happy to hear we are together on this.
Fort Gaines, Jacksonville, Palm Coast, Sarasota, Winterhaven. They will be on the way Sunday.
