Just watched part 1 of Ken Burns' documentary on PBS

The US and the Holocaust. I thought it was very well done although my jaw is tight. I see so many parallels from this history n what Is going on here today and I’m worried..just about scared. I am not naive to think it could never happen here when I see the people saluting like Nazis at the rally in Ohio just last night. I just don’t understand why the powers to be can’t nip this in the bud before it’s too late. How much more evidence do we need to make the case of insurrection n those responsible? I have faith in our system but I’m afraid time is not on our side.

And they tried everything to undermine him for his skin pigmentation. Then it seemed they went away but what happened is, they stepped back n got more militant...hooked up w/ the extreme religious groups n ridiculous conspiracies. Wish we had some way of heading that off before they become what they are today. But really..what could be done except cut the head off the snake.

But I think he was too but considering the threat to him and the country if he was more aggressive about it. They were focused on him then, now it's the rest of us. They seem to believe that we need to be punished for electing Obama twice and they'll tear it all down if they can't stop us from being fair and wanting to share rather than control everyone and everything.

It could be argued that the parallels between the Nazis and the MAGATs were a bit heavy handed, but it could also be argued that they’re right on target. It was very well done. I just wish that the people who need to see this would watch it - but they don’t believe that the Holocaust actually happened, so there’s that… I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. Meanwhile, American ‘patriots’ are doing a modified Nazi salute at MAGA rallies. Sh**s getting real, as they say. LOCK.HIM.UP!

I’m talking about the GQP and the RW-owned media.

We’re at a point where it’s all but done.

The endless 50/50 “tie” elections are telltale.

Statistically the close results time and time again don’t add up.

11. Saw that tonight

One of the media outlets was presenting polling results on dem vs repub and it was pretty much 50/50 all the way. I just looked at it and said there’s no way. I just can’t believe republicans have that much support.

The old 50/50 game is afoot.

12. My PBS is delaying 2nd night of doc until Tuesday and instead showing QE funeral tonight

so instead of previously scheduled Monday and Tuesday nights for subsequent episodes, they are now running them Tues and Wed nights.
