What would it take for Republicans to stand up for their country over their Party leaders?

What would it take for them to speak out against espionage, stealing national secrets, and attacks upon the symbol of our democracy, the nation's Capitol?

What would it take for them to defend their country? Is there anything?

A stranger to our shores would believe they were enemies of this nation. Most of them are silent. They say nothing. But their silence speaks volumes. They betray our Constitution.

If they cannot defend our country in these times, can they ever defend it?

Is it that they believe so long as any part of our government is run by the Democrats, then they cannot support it? It makes no difference what the majority of the country might think? Do they expect Democrats to support them when they are in power, in the same way? That sort of thinking and division is not workable in a democracy.

How many Republicans have you heard speak out against the crimes that we have witnessed from the former president and his regime?

with campaign finance regulations tightened. Magat politicians are the opposite of people in JFK's book, Profiles in Courage. Magat politicians are owned and managed by domestic, maybe foreign, oligarchs. Leonard Leo picks judges and justices, ALEC and other oligarch organizations write the legislation for Magats.

The changing demographics. America is no longer a white majority country so the only way for the white, racist Magat party to stay in power is to rig our election process. Sheldon Whitehouse came out yesterday and stated he is concerned that the Magats are going to rig elections in Battleground states and then the racist SC will rubber stamp their actions. This comes from Sheldon Whitehouse who has been fighting the Federalist Society for decades.

4. What would it take for Russians to stand up for their troops over their corrupt leaders?

The Russian elite scene content to send wave after a wave of under trained, under equipped, demotivated troops in a lost and dishonest cause. The same principle is at work in the Republican Party. Only, instead of getting life-altering injuries, the Republican foot soldiers only get better health care options

Either pay them to go away, or take their money away. Dump Citizens United. Make it illegal for corporations to make campaign contributions. Only citizens should be allowed to make campaign contributions and only with reasonable limits of say $2500 per candidate.

A Republican told me, a few years ago, "This is not the country I grew up in!" He had grown up thinking that the United States of America was a White Man's Country, run by and for White Men, with White Women keeping White Houses and making White Babies for their White Men, and with a few other people of other descriptions here and there to be their servants and assistants. When I told this story to a Guatemalan immigrant, it was to explain why I was giving him the phone number of a local South American aid society. As I told my Guatemalan friend, "But it is the America I grew up in, as a poor kid living in the middle of Chicago, with lots of families different from my family, and most of us getting along just fine." I remember some great kindnesses from some Mexican immigrants in our apartment building.

They are the "criminally-inclined minority" that represents the base of their Party. All the others are silent.

Would help immensely.

Sometimes, you have too drag someone kicking and screaming to sanity.

They have had multiple chances to fix themselves.

It's time to stop worrying about whether they will ever stand up for country over party. It's time to make them irrelevant.

Only replacing them with sane people will clear out the rot.

But isn't it amazing that we are here? Where one major political party is setting fire to democracy and CALLING themselves patriots? They defend espionage, stealing of nuclear secrets, outright theft, corruption, and sedition. A major political party.

Republicans have fully embraced theocratic fascism. They aren’t going to ‘wake up’ anytime soon.

support to the far right so as to protect their positions unlimited wealth and power. They are the American Royal Family. They have been providing red meat to feed the monster to provide them muscle. Our "Krupps" are behind the destruction of Democracy, for when Democracy fails, they will be the only power left.

It is domination of white Christian men over the society, as God intended. A society ruled by unbridled power, hate and fear. A society where women and minorities would be property, a place where might makes right and guns are a solution, not a problem.

Many great writers told us what was coming if we weren't vigilant. We just thought that it couldn't happen here. " Now it's a monster, it will not obey."

We are rapidly approaching the crossroad, it is unclear at this time which path we will take into the future.
