2. Wonder if Thomas is still considered the most RW extreme justice?

Or if he's tied? Not that it really matters when the court's packed with similar extremists.

5. Given that Thomas and his wife are entwined in the insurrection

Thomas needs to recuse himself before getting involved in Loose Cannon's bs rulings on the Mango Mussolini's call for a Special Master. This would be a major conflict of interest that should disqualify Thomas from making the call on this matter. The case needs to be reviewed by Justice Roberts. This is too important to subvert the investigation based on the gravity of the potential espionage and the blatant theft of classified materials by tRump.

6. He'll never do it.

You’re right but he won’t do it. Cannon herself should have been nowhere near this case aside from the fact that it should have been in DC.

7. And if he denies your application, you can resubmit to the Justice of your choice.

A Reporter’s Guide To Supreme Court Procedure For Applications

• If a Justice acts alone to deny an application, a
petitioner may renew the application to any other
Justice of his or her choice, and theoretically can
continue until a majority of the Court has denied
the application. In practice, renewed applications
usually are referred to the full Court to avoid such
a prolonged procedure.
