Unfortunately, I have yet to see anything that moves ME forward.

What I fear is that Merrick Garland thinks law-abiding/straight-arrow. donald thinks whatever works/doesn't matter.

The DOJ and anybody else on the opposite end of a fight with trump are STILL thinking conventionally. How it would be with any other garden-variety crook. Nobody else had tried the shit that donald has - and he's gotten away with it, because every time, he's expected to behave or respond a certain (conventional) way, and he BUCKS that! Does his own thing. No textbooks or instruction manuals necessary. What will slow things down? What will muck up the works? What will frustrate or eventually bankrupt an opponent so they throw up their hands and give up, or settle for FAR less just to get done with it and stop hemmorhaging money on legal bills.

Doesn't ANYBODY on our side of the law enforcement quotient think like donald thinks? Or even try to imagine and anticipate?

Good Grief, I remember when my dad first took me out to learn to drive. He kept saying "you have to anticipate. You've gotta anticipate." He said it often enough that I started wondering if this wasn't merely a good piece of advice to a novice driver, but some sort of key strategy, key mindset, key something-or-other. I'm starting to wonder if that's what the donald does.

There seem to be a lot of valid points being made (too many to list here) on problems with her decision.

Jonathan Turley, basically a legal shill for the GOP, is the only one who sided with her that I've seen so far.
As usual, his opinion was a waste of time.

THIS case must be adjudicated by next year.

A writ of mandemus could also be a remedy, especially if this case moves to the DC Circuit court, which has proper jurisdiction over this case because the crime against the Presidential Records happened in DC.

It's bad enough that public confidence in the DOJ seems low, but now public confidence in the courts will lower, as well.

What bothers me is that the DOJ could have subpoenaed Trump to appear before a grand jury by now.

The DOJ STILL COULD ARREST TRUMP. Technically, if they observe the 60 day policy, they've got four days. BUT that's just a policy, not law. So even then the AG himself can override DOJ policy during the 60-day period and do what it takes to bring Trump in and charge him on what they've got right now.

This isn't even about teams. This is about national f'n security, my friend.

We take care of that first, then we can worry about how our team looks. We've impeached twice. Mueller has provided evidence for obstruction. We've had eight Jan 6 hearings that millions watched live and since. We've turned over evidence to the DOJ. IMHO, we're doing badass.

This is the beginning of the end of this criminal psychopath national security threat.

All the Dems have to do is their job, and they've been doing it in spades.

There has been a lot learned that our side can do in Congress to prevent this from never ever happening again. The more they holler from now on, the more we know our rule of law is slamming them.

There are so many things our past Dem presidents have done wrong (I can list them, if you want), but with this administration, we will put ourselves in the history books.

That's something to feel good about, friend.
