(16,959 posts)You should have grabbed that shovel when you moved out of your 2-bedroom palace in Penn Hills on your way to the estate in Virginia. You could put it to good use now while you dig your way out of another "situation."
By the way, does anybody think that HE might know something about the 'empty' folders found at Merde-a-Lardo?

(19,208 posts)I believe that was known as, if I'm not mistaken.
I can't remember who was responsible for that particular nom-de-nutcase, but we had loads of fun with it back in the day.

(10,462 posts)"Santorum" got associated with that frothy mixture when pRick made a number of his anti-gay comments. In 2003 Dan Savage had a contest for his readers to come up with a fitting definition of the word "santorum". I don't know how the Google works, but somehow Savage and whoever helped, got the website http://spreadingsantorum.com to be the 1st place search result any time someone used Google to search for Santorum. I don't know why anyone would want to search for either kind of Santorum.
pRick whined to the Google, it remained the top result for years. The website doesn't come up in searches any more, but the story and definition are still in the top 2-3 places of search results.

(19,208 posts)and had nothing to do with Savage's contest. I'm sure many old DUers will attest to the Sphinctorum phenomenon.
I've been a member since almost the beginning of DU, contrary to what my "official" member since date says. I intentionally tombstoned myself during the Hillary/Barack wars of 2008. It was a dumb thing to do and I came crawling back a year later. The administrators were kind enough to reinstate me.
So I go a long way back. I've been through 3 different screen names. "Sphinctorum" really was a thing back then. Honest.

(2,876 posts)So the sex positive columnist Dan Savage had a contest to come up with a good name for him. One of the submissions won after being voted on from the finalists.
Caution NSFW, it refers to a type of post sex mess.

(38,477 posts)Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
