In fact, it makes it worse because it indicates how carelessly the classified materials were stored. And I'm wondering how many of the so-called personal items actually belong to the White House. Are there any silver salad forks? "Gift items" are also mentioned - what were those? Presidents can't keep gifts of more than a token value; most gifts have to be sent directly to the National Archives. But this is Trump...

Who were the gifts from and did the givers have an interest in the classified material set aside with them? More tends to show this an espionage case.
