He hasn't denied that they were in his home.

He acknowledged that they had been in containers before the FBI put them on the floor to take photographs.

Trump knew he had the documents.

That's it, game over. HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE THEM!

Nothing else matters. Not the attorney/client privileged stuff, not his passports, not his news clippings. He had Top Secret documents that should never have left the White House. That's a crime and he knew it.

That line may go a long way in the closed minds of his followers, but evidence is neither Republican nor Democratic; the US Code is neither Republican nor Democratic; and due process is neither Republican nor Democratic.

The good news is, and I truly believe it, his core group is shrinking. More and more are either wanting fresh blood or have seen that Trump has outlasted his welcome. The remaining cultists may strengthen their resolve, but they remain a distinct minority. Our main nemeses now are those who would tamper with the vote or hijack the voting procedures in their respective states. That's what scares me most.
