Get all necessary warrants needed to search every propertly he owns for whatever documents he's still hiding.
Indict and try him for stealing secret and top secret documents that the FBI has already retrieved. (If any other American had done this, he/she would already be sitting in a cell.)
Indict and try him for fomenting an attempted coup d'etat against the government of the United States. -- After all, we all saw him, live on TV, incite his "army" on January 6th to halt the finalization of the 2020 election that he lost. (If any other American had tried this, he/she would already be sitting in a cell.)
Those are only two of the obvious things that he should/could be indicted for at this very moment.
And I'm sure that anyone who thinks about it for a short while, can come up with a list of crimes he publicly committed over the past six years, both in and out of office.
The American Revolution was about getting rid of a king and declaring our independence. It's past time to get rid of "King" Trump. We shouldn't put up with this shit for one more instant.
And, oh yeah, about that "Violence in the streets" if "Dear Leader" is arrested. Joe Biden can declare martial law, call out the military, and see to it that any and all who commit such violence end up sitting in jail cells.
I'm sure there are a few thousand lawyers out there who will tell me why none of this can be done. Nonetheless, if it looks like a traitor, smells like a traitor, and acts like a traitor, it's very likely he's a traitor. And anyone, ANYONE, who has committed these crimes should be indicted and tried as soon as possible. (Whatever legal argument is put forward, the Constitution is not a suicide pact.)
And one more thing. The Republican Party will vow revenge if the orange shit is tried, found guilty and jailed. Many, if not most of them have aided and abetted the traitor. They have become, in short, nothing more than a criminal organization. If any of us had done what so many of them had done, we'd be sitting in jail cells.

(2,210 posts)defense, or at least, stay silent and not publicly turn on him. But once Trump is imprisoned and they (1) feel safe from Trump's vindictiveness, and (2) sense that Trump's base is abandoning the Orange Turd, they will pull a groin muscle in their gyrations to claim that they do not support Trump and never have supported Trump (all evidence to the contrary be damned).

I told them the years ago - You will be remembered for this.
So there will be ways to find out who supported them and who did not.

(11,481 posts)Rightly so. If Trump had a second term, we could kiss the US goodbye. If someone like DeSatan gets elected, same story. Actually, I cant think of any sane Republican getting elected by the crazy Republican voters today, which means any Republican president is now a danger to the country.

(19,273 posts)as the subsequent destroyer of democracy. Trump is wailing like a banshee because he's being jettisoned by Fox Noise, but he no longer has Roger Ailes to champion his cause.
DeSatan, in some ways, is even worse than Trump, but he will still carry the banner for aggrieved billionaires the world over, and continue the course toward autocracy.

(85 posts)Once he's busted the J6 committee investigation would have to be shut down so as to not interfere with a plaintiff's constitutional rights. Once the public hearings in September are done and Ginny Thomas and the congressional pukes that asked for a pardon are more fully exposed to the general public, then, by all means:
Lock Him Up!!!
wnylib
(24,019 posts)that is separate from the J6 insurrection and investigation, so I don't see why the committee would have to stop their investigation. But, if there were any legitimate concerns about it, all they would have to do is stop televising their findings. They could still continue with the investigations.
Shut down that avenue of argument from his lawyers. One less loose end.

(9,813 posts)Martial Law paragraph. Matt Miller said last night on Stephanie Rule segment, if they start violence, fine, take em down and prosecute em. Do not run in fear from these assholes. I hope Biden states in powerful words during his coming address, a rise in violence against Americans b/c of Justice for trump, will be met with fierce counter attacks, as the terrorists they are. We will shoot to protect this country citizens from terrorist, hell bent on killing people under trump/Bannon/Jones orders. And first we will take out those leaders just as we do ISIS and Taliban Leaders. Let those three know they will not hide behind microphones and key boards to attack this country, sending their idiots to die.
Let them know emphatically we will not allow these looms to murder for trump.

Far better for Garland (et al) to have taken a measured approach in my estimation that has built up public confidence and even caused Trump allies--including FOX--to distance themselves.
Taking down a former president--even one as corrupt as Donald J Trump--is a serious matter and it needs to be done methodically. And I have full confidence in both the people and the process.

The world must be shaking its collective head at where the USA is today. "No one is above the law" sounds very hollow. Pence and Pelosi could easily have been murdered on 1/6 and where was SS?
