As you all know, we've been separated for, now, over two years due to COVID19 and the insanity and pathetic nature of the American green card process.
I had to leave the States and give up my potential political career in a bright blue district in Arizona because I could not be away from her anymore.
My attempt to get back to her in China was made impossible for many reasons, so we relocated to Bangkok.
I've been here since late June to get settled here and then we started on her.
It took four weeks, but I am happy to report she got her Thai visa on Friday but it wasn't issued to her until today. On September 7th, my wife will fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and we will finally be reunited after over two years of separation.
Added to that, our ninth anniversary is on September 12th, so we will spend our first weekend together in Phuket for our anniversary.
It's almost completely over.

(45,433 posts)Trump and COVID really screwed up the immigration and visa process for a lot of countries. There are gigantic backlogs and labor shortages at a lot of US consulates around the world.
