How secure were the secret documents as they were being driven to Florida.

Holy shit. I'm telling you Trump is in deep shit. When they arrived in Florida who moved all those boxes to the unsecured room, the movers. The most sensitive secrets sitting in a room at a resort for months, it's Unbelievable.

Then Trump and his lawyers lied and obstructed for months. These crimes will be prosecuted.

And overnight possibly.

This does not appear to meet the standards for transport of top secret documents.

How could foreign agents miss it.

Wait until van stops for drivers to eat dinner, then take what you want.

Not like the bums you get with a regular moving company.

All the stuff is guarded by Secret Service. Think how easy it would be otherwise to slip something harmful to the in coming our outgoing President in a standard run of the mill moving service.

Of all the things that worry me, the moving team isn't on the list.

As far as our intelligence services are concerned, as soon as a TS/SCI doc was removed from a SCIF it became compromised.

Driven by someone who had zero knowledge what was in there. No staff at MAL had any clue what was in there, either.

Trump and the RWNM now have what they needed in the Affadavit: something to distort and lie about.

I still believe the DOJ will find an off-ramp that avoids prosecution; it's not "deep shit". The Records Admin got back what they needed.

Sorry to be cynical.

All security cleared and supervised by the Secret Service.

The SS is responsible for the President Safety after leaving the Whitehouse. They don't want some disgruntled moving company worker planing a bomb or something that will go into the house.

The secret service protects the President. That also means protecting the property that he comes in contact with or might.

Imagine the President hired "3 men and a truck". And one of those men planted a bomb in the President dresser drawers.

But that doesn't mean that secret service sits down and reads all his documents, nor goes through the first lady's underwear.

For instance, they protected Obama's house in Chicago for years, even though Obama went years between visits.

The SS doesn't really interfere. They provide protection.

That doesn't mean that they don't overhear things. Of course they do.

TO them. It was a group of boxes.

I have hauled sensitive government loads that were minimally sensitive, like mailing labels for income tax forms to be pre-mailed to those already in the system, or the blank forms before being labeled.

And you know what I had to have?

GI Joe riding in the jump-seat with his weapon and an unmarked escort formation like pilot cars for oversized loads, the whole way. Fortunately it was only a four hour drive.

Paid pretty good.
