Even if the numbers were way off. I think the numbers may be dramatically underestimating the likely turnout and overall enthusiasm going into November. That being said, the level of skepticism we are seeing around here is likely good.

I would rather people be skeptical of the polls and fight like hell to save democracy than sit back with a certain expectation that may or may not be the case.

other hand, those who think we are losing are less likely to show up...years in GOTV, and that is my experience. Those who thing they are helping by talking elections down and pouring cold water on any good news do not help win elections...as I said just the opposite.

Although polls have lost so much credibility that they are less likely to persuade people one way or the other. If polls show us losing, less folks are likely to be convinced that will happen just cause polls are no longer as believable as they used to be.
