...it changes the game for the Republicans.
How?
Because if they know there is an "ongoing investigation", they do not know how it is going to turn out.
They do not know if an indictment is coming or when?
Do they want to throw their support behind a candidate who may be soon indicted and tried in a criminal trial? Is that who they want to be the next president?
That is what an "ongoing investigation" means to the Republican Party. I cannot understand how people think this is good news for Trump or the Republicans?

I used to ask myself, "How did the German people let the Nazis gain total power?" Now I am living it.

(19,214 posts)Hillary. Comey stepped all over her candidacy when he told everyone that the investigation into her emails was renewing because of Weiner's laptop.
You'll never hear a good word about Comey come from my mouth. You'll hear plenty of cuss words, though.

Or it might have been an uncorroborated rumor.

(10,143 posts)you do not have the media firestorm we're seeing.
It is uncorroborated or weakly corroborated rumors.

(111,130 posts)That Donald Trump has an inventory of everything that was taken from his home, if he wants his supporters to see it. He doesn't or he would have already.

(10,143 posts)I've maintained that too.
If they want transparency, let Trump provide the search warrant and transmittal of documents taken.
Apparently, the transmittal is vaguely worded to protect classified material so there is no excuse not to provide it.

(6,929 posts)In one of their recent decisions this TFG Supreme Court ruled Miranda rights do not have to be read to an arrested person.
I'm not kidding. The ruling was Miranda Rights are still in effect. We still have our Miranda rights. But no one has to read them to us anymore.
So everyone beware. Don't talk to the police until you have a lawyer. They can lie to you. But you can't lie to them. Get a lawyer if you are arrested and before talking to police. It's better to spend a night in jail than to talk to police without a lawyer.
