2. Anyone who has not been seriously alarmed about China has not been paying attention.

This is just their latest stunt.

Maybe people will finally wake the hell up.

the bad news of course is that I'm right to be concerned.

The one time I wanted to be wrong. Hopefully Biden is on top of this

4. China will be a 21st century superpower.

There is no doubt whatsoever.

And they will use any means possible to achieve that goal.
Just like Putin is doing.

Russia and China are partners in their plan to shift global power.

Yep, I hope someone is on top of this.

6. Of course the US and Europe, along with a host of other nations, are all over this

For years, the US has been in the "Quad" with India, Japan, and Australia. India, which has a huge military, despises China. So, it's not at all that the US is alone with respect to China.

Similarly, the US, EU, and NATO are a clear check to Russia. While India is friends with Russia, India and China hate each other, as noted.

China would lose huge amounts of trade with the EU etc if it attacked.

It's not that easy to say that Russia and China are capable of achieving whatever they want. President Biden did EXACTLY the right thing in Ukraine, and Russia is stalled because of it.

The military and economic forces against Russia and/or China are FAR more formidable than either/both of them.

9. The US is greatly weakened, with Putin puppets installed at high levels of government.

China has been taking notes about the western sanctions and is working as we speak to bullet proof themselves.

We ignore China at our own peril.

Do you understand what the purpose of the Quad is? This is exactly a critical multinational response to China: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrilateral_Security_Dialogue

Putin's puppets are a different issue than China. I don't disagree that there has been infiltration by Russia (Trump, for starters), but I would be quite certain that President Biden is all over that too.

China is playing a long game where they eventually take control of Siberian resources.

7. Yes, and I've been saying it for awhile. Xi started buzzing Taiwan a year ago. ...

I think his reasons are at least two-fold. One is to terrorize 23 million Taiwanese. The other is to test the US government and see if we still give a damn.

China has behaved provocatively toward Taiwan off and on as long as I can remember, and I am over 70 now. It used to be considered in our national interest to stand up to their aggression. In recent decades it’s been considered in our national interest to give them an amazing amount of our manufacturing ability, no questions asked, so corporations (who are people, my friends, as Romney reminded us) could profit. Then Trump thought it was in his personal interest to gin up race-hatred — which hasn’t helped.

Biden knows what kind of leader Xi is, and made a point of telling us very early on that as VP for Barack Obama he had “spent hours on the phone” with him. Biden added, “He hasn’t got a democratic bone in his body,” but he could talk to him.

Biden, unlike Trump, is no fool. Republicans in Congress, however, are.

US military.has been watching China regarding Taiwan for a long time. Taiwan has been a military "partner" for decades, so there's been a lot of planning to protect military "investments" there.
