Trump Asked Generals Why They Couldn’t Be More Like ‘Totally Loyal’ Nazis, Report Claims

Former President Donald Trump once asked why American generals weren’t more like Nazis, according to a report. A New Yorker article examining how the Pentagon handled the national security threat “posed by their own Commander-in-Chief” published Monday includes a staggering exchange which allegedly took place between Trump and his White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a former U.S. Marine Corps general. “You fucking generals, why can’t you be like the German generals?” Trump allegedly once asked Kelly. When Kelly asked which German generals Trump was referring to, the then-president answered: “The German generals in World War II.” Kelly is said to have pointed out to Trump that Hitler’s generals tried to kill their führer “three times and almost pulled it off,” but Trump was said to disagree. “No, no, no, they were totally loyal to him,” Trump allegedly said of Hitler’s generals.

to keep the Mango Menace in check, not some of his toadies, who would have gladly cleared Lafeyette Square by shooting the BLM protesters, as the Mango Menace wanted to do.

I've said all along that the JCoS, the line officers and the NCO's would refuse to obey any illegal orders, and it seems I was right all along.

Thank you General Milley and all the others, civilian and military, who worked to prevent the Mango Menace from starting a civil or foreign war.

This is drawn from “The Divider: Trump in the White House, 2017-2021.”

The book is being released in September, written by the same authors Glasser and Baker, who happen to be married. Makes it easier to have a business meeting, no doubt!

It seems Trump thought he was king of America and could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and to whomever he wanted. He saw himself as a very successful Hitler.

We had 4 years of a dictator trying to be a dictator. No wonder America is broken. This is what the filthy rich want for America.....and they almost had it all. The next time they will dismantle all of our Democracy on day 1.

The boss is the boss. He was the CEO of the USA.

He was a businessman (even if he was a poor one). He wanted to run the country like the Trump Org. Meaning grift, exploitation, abuse, greed, and loyalty to The Boss.

Don't forget that fascism is the combination of corporate and State power.

It is so creepy how Trump expects everyone around him to do everything he asks without question. When they don't he throws a fit like a young child and then removes them. He then searches for anybody who will do what he wants to fill that position. It doesn't matter if they are qualified or not. He wants everyone to kneel before ZOD.

they refused to follow him because they took the OoE, just like every other military member, who swore to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic, not pledge blind allegiance to a wanna be Hitler.

We take that Oath very seriously, it had nothing to do with the Nuremburg Trials.

The JCoS certainly didn't, the Commanders certainly didn't, the line Officers certainly didn't, the NCO's certainly didn't and the overwhelming majority of active and reserve members certainly didn't.

I find it offensive that the person I originally responded to would think that the thought of the Nuremburg Trials was the reason the Military didn't follow the Mango Menace over a cliff.

Not only did TFG (once again) display the anti-intellectualism so many embrace by being uniformed on history (you know, something a real president would understand), he also wanted things for Hitler to be like for him during the time he occupied our White House.

And this is what so many millions want back?

Germany recognizes the bravery and remembers the action of a group of military men like Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, Major General Henning von Tresckow and many others who tried (belatedly) to assassinate Hitler.

So… No, they were not all “totally loyal”.

He's a delusion sick fucker.

Mrs. von Stauffenberg is one of by best memories as an officer's little brat living in Germany in the late 1970's.

She had the tattoo as a result of her husband's attempt to kill Hitler.

I'm sticking to facts - not Trump magical thinking.

Shamed that Kelly kept this to himself.

If he opened his mouth sooner, can you imagine the resignations and early retirements of our men and women in uniform?

These so-called former loyalists of Trump were less loyal to the country.

It showcases how Milley and Pompeo are desperately doing CYA to distance themselves from J6. Which bodes ill for anyone they know were involved, like Christopher Miller, who Milly especially seems to dislike.

parade he was planning.

“Look, I don’t want any wounded guys in the parade,” Trump said. “This doesn’t look good for me.” He explained with distaste that at the Bastille Day parade there had been several formations of injured veterans, including wheelchair-bound soldiers who had lost limbs in battle.

Kelly could not believe what he was hearing. “Those are the heroes,” he told Trump. “In our society, there’s only one group of people who are more heroic than they are—and they are buried over in Arlington.” Kelly did not mention that his own son Robert, a lieutenant killed in action in Afghanistan, was among the dead interred there.

“I don’t want them,” Trump repeated. “It doesn’t look good for me.”
