Paul Manafort admits sharing info with the Russians during 2016 Trump campaign
In an interview with Business Insider, former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort admitted he was in contact with the Russians and sharing information during the former president's 2016 presidential run.
*snip*
In the interview, Manafort excused his actions stating he wasn't looking for help getting Trump elected and did it purely to make money, with Business Insider reporting, "Manafort told Insider that he directed his deputy, Rick Gates, to feed Kilimnik polling data via email to 'keep Konstantin informed.' The goal was to use his access to Trump to drum up business for himself.

Say it isn't so... Manafort did it for the money.

(70,657 posts)It wasn't polling data but data analytics or what could be turned into data analytics that the Russians
could use to rat fuck the 2016 elections. Every time Trump said "fake news" as per the Trump Campaign
and Russia he was lying and not a God Damn thing is gonna happen.

And this admission by Manafort of treason (Russia has been @ war with America for years) will get zero press.

(9,090 posts)investigators and journos are missing is talk radio.
russian connected davis/manafort were managing the McCain campaign in 2008 and limbaugh ould not support mccain, a disaster, until minutes after mccain chose palin - who had been wooed by russian oil and gas oligarchs. it's fucking idiotic for media not to ask manager/davis about that and possibly using limbaugh support to force palin on mccain. did limbaugh get money/payola for that?
all the times he was on MSNBC nunberg was never asked about the talk radio project. nunberg says he passed his analysis to trump but did that analysis also go to russian trolls? what blowhards in what states was nunberg listening to? the same states the operatives spent time in?
roger stone was working with trump and nunberg at the same time and boasted how he used talk radio in florida in 2000 to stop the recount.
manafort stone trump all owe their GOP/fascist political 'success' to rw radio, trump's neighbor, golf partner, and rw radio pt man, limbaugh, and the russians use of it.
mueller totally missed it, although there were parts of the report that related

(2,772 posts)Not suspicious at all, right? Theres so much to set ones hair on fire in this article that its hard to mention just one thing. But, here goes. If Russia can reach down to Senate races, why wouldnt they do so even in midterms?

(70,657 posts)know about the other states but it looks like the data analytics (not just polling data that Manafort
& Gates knowingly passed onto a known Russian agent passed Kilimnik) was used to rat fuck those
states.
I might be wrong but Manafort's confession of fucking over America and its voters for money and
there by installing Trump into the White House will get zero press coverage but if it was about HRC
and her emails it would get tons of press.

Manafort actually spent some time in prison. His wealth was hammered. He's probably finished in his so-called business because he no longer has any leverage. He's a marked man.
His life has been upended. He's lost his family. Now in his golden years, he's a nearly-broke pariah.
I can find some modicum of justice in Manafort's fate. Plus, I'm sure there's more trouble coming for him. I suspect the rest of his life he'll be looking over his shoulder in a well-earned paranoia.

I know Trump hasn't got one. But he'd never confess anyway.

(15,073 posts)What Malcolm Nance said:
Anyone who has ever talked to a bookie knows that a person in debt never insults the person that they owe money to. So, by bringing this up, and making Donald Trump Using his natural populous traits. When he used to do worldwide wrestling, he came on as the evil guy with a big check, and then by the end of the wrestling match he would be embracing the guy who was the hero, the good guy. Putin, Im sure, and his psychologist, and his scholars, saw that he had a draw for the base level American, the Wal-Mart shopping American. Even though he was a brash, supposedly rich guy, he had a way of touching them. I am absolutely certain that this was the calculation that they made, that he was not only popular in Russia, he was the kind of authoritarian Putin would like to fund, because Putin had been funding authoritarian governments all over Europe. To get the United States, and put this guy in as an ally, would just be monumental.
Snip...
Then they found the black book with all of the cash payments in there, which identified that Manafort may have made somewhere between $20 and $70 million of black money that he was money laundering into the United States. The very fact that he would come back again as Donald Trumps campaign manager, shows a level of George Smiley-John le Carré level coordination, that those of us in the intelligence community just would have to chase down. Because as I like to say, Coincidence takes a lot of planning. Thats an old intelligence community dictum.
