Arguably, The Democrats Biggest Enemy

The MSM; cable news, newspapers, magazines, internet.

The MSM is owned and managed by domestic oligarchs. These domestic oligarchs also fund internet sites.

What has the narrative been for the past 6 months? President Biden is failing. President Biden's poll numbers are in the tank. (bogus pollsters are a part of the propaganda) President Biden shouldn't run again because he is so unpopular.

The fucking opposite is the truth. In less than 2 years President Biden has accomplished more than any president since maybe Lyndon Johnson.

This has always been the truth, the MSM created fake news, imagine that, I can't believe I just typed that.

Just a couple of headlines;

President Biden takes out Zahawiri, something that 2 decades of presidents couldn't do.
Under President Biden more people are working today than have ever worked in the history of our country.
Under President Biden we have a president who will fight to preserve our democracy, to preserve our Constitution.

Under President Biden - Promises made, promises kept.

the narrative was that President Biden was weak and unpopular. It doesn't matter if MSNBC and CNN argue against that, they are still talking about President Biden not being effective or popular.

What Donald Trump tried to do, overturning the results of an election via a coup, should make headlines; Trump tries to end our democracy. Is what Trump did akin to treason? Benedict Donald.

We didn't get headlines like that. CNN recently told its cable news anchors to not say the term, "The Big Lie."

The Coup continues.

When I'm driving around it seems like many roads and bridges are being fixed. I suspect that is from one or both of last years bills. I wasn't a fan of Joe but his actions for progressive action, while less than I'd like, are quite impressive. I'm becoming a fan. I'm very curious if we can take over the senate and hold, will we be able to do more the next two years? Go Joe, Go Democratic Party!

is the perception that the media is "liberal".

I gave up on NPR in 1992 when they totally trashed Bill Clinton's chances for election. WTF? Okay, so it was somewhat early in the campaign season, but I remember Cokie Roberts doing about five minutes on why he was toast. Basically, they've been wrong about Democrats ever since.

When both sides are doing it equally, it's accurate for the media to point out that both sides are doing it equally.

If someone is saying "only one party is doing something" and that's not the truth, it's accurate for the media to point out that isn't the truth and then to point out which side is worse.

"Both sides" engage in everything.

That's because humans are flawed and being right on most of the issues doesn't cause people to miraculously be scrupulously ethical 100% of the time so as to be completely above any possible criticism.

You're always going to find someone on your side to facepalm yourself about due to "whatever it is that they're doing that you wish they weren't".

The proper role of media, in my opinion, is to point out the shortcomings of each candidate/politician on both sides.

Then their role is to point out that "it's happening in this party at the rate of 1 politician in 250" is not the same as "it's happening in this other party at the rate of 1 in 5".

One is titled:
Joe Biden could be the most transformative president in 75 years

There's this one:

And one I saw this morning said something like: If Biden is so unsuccessful, why is he accomplishing so much?

Sounds like some in the media are starting to call out the big guys on their obvious negative attacks on Biden.

radio!

that's the only unique advantage they have and the left completely ignore it while it kicks out ass and craps all over clinton, gore, kerry, clinton, obam, and now biden

the worst part is it's the weak link, falling apart now since limbaugh died, but also extremely vulnerable to artificial intelligence-assisted boycotts and monitoring that would scare 80% of its advertisers off

fakenewsradio.org explains it and how forcing one university to reject rw radio would destroy it

Call your target medium. And write a letter.

Letters are always more effective when they're cc'd. CC: your Senator, your Congressmember, your mayor, your governor, your county supervisor.

The thing about the cc: addition at the bottom of your letter is: it lets the recipient know that several other sets of eyes are seeing this same message (your complaint that the recipient is doing a lousy job, being dishonest, wrongly and unfairly smearing one of the "good guys," ) is being seen by others. Maybe some important others. Maybe the editor of the local paper. Maybe the parent company of the outlet you're targeting. Or worse: the commercial sponsors of whatever program it was where you heard the offense being broadcast.

One letter - "meh, just some malcontent out there. Don't worry about it."

Several with cc: names of relevant VIPs at the bottom - "uh... um, did you see this? Hopefully they didn't see it..."

Several letters from OTHER WRITERS, making the same complaint, and cc'd to the same VIPS OR MORE, or maybe even some attorney(s) - "uh - I gotta make a phone call... "

I have seen this and seen this and seen this at various outlets where I worked in the news biz. There was one rock station where I worked, for example, where management got this lame idea of adding some weird-ass "comedy troupe" to the morning drive show. I suspect they thought the morning drive deejay wasn't quite making it anymore and they were going to ease the new folks in and replace him. Well... we started encouraging friends to call. Heck, I got calls in the newsroom, asking ME what the hell was going on, who were these people, they aren't funny, why are they doing this to the morning jock, how long is this going to last, etc. And all I did was what the morning jock also did: encourage people to write or call in and complain.

They did.

And the "fabulous new funny crew" that was gonna just own the joint and turn the city upside down laughing its collective self silly - was gone - like a bad dream - by the following week. We in the original morning crew survived, and just stepped to the side, out of the way, while the heads rolled down the hall. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Instead of simply complaining, we can take action. I'd rather try and fail than to not bother to try at all.

I'll once again suggest watching Newsy. If your cable company doesn't carry it, you can stream it on your computer, phone, and via any TV streaming service. It is unbiased NEWS, NOT OPINION. They don't have talking heads crapping all over Biden and they also report real news you won't see anywhere else and some feel-good stories too, which we all need from time to time. Even when it's political news they just report the facts, not opinion. I can't recommend them enough. It's so refreshing to watch real news again.

The biggest issue is that opinion has completely taken over reporting facts. Can you guys imagine if they just reported facts? Biden's poll numbers would be way higher.

A minute on what’s good and fifteen on tfg.

Positive on a D, and interviews with 4 R’s on how it really isn’t positive at all.

The media is orchestrated and the song they play is meant to fill the pockets of the rich and powerful.

Mon Aug 8, 2022, 06:55 AM

that money being spent supporting the most MAGA GOP candidates.

People spend a shit-load of time in their automobiles with the radio on. This is actually how Rush, Hannity and the scum at FOX gained a foothold on so many mindless voters. We need to invest some time into cheaper radio ads to spread the positive news about what the Biden administration has done for voters and how the GOP actually has voted AGAINST almost every piece of legislation in their best interest. We can never hope to change the minds of the people who worship the MAGA god, Trump, by bashing Trump. We just need to tell our story of successes on their behalf and drill it into their atmosphere relentlessly. They will still end up worshiping Trump but they might VOTE differently.

We lost this opportunity in 2016 by not advertising downward instead of upward. Cable News does not favor us because FOX has a lock with cable viewers. But we can reach these folks before they get out of their cars and go inside to view FOX. The ads on radio can run on all those RW radio stations right in contrast to what the hosts of the various shows are spewing...and the ad campaign on radio is much cheaper. Just some thoughts.

23. President Biden takes out Zahawiri?
Mon Aug 8, 2022, 11:08 AM

Arguably, Biden had very little to do with that other than giving the green light for the drone strike. Since 9-11, taking out upper level terrorist leaders is pretty much baked into US policy regardless of the president.

I get the disdain for the media (they deserve it). But if you want the media to give Biden credit for Zahawiri then you also have to T**** credit for taking out Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
