(58,785 posts)are beliefs in the EQUALITY and the RIGHTS of all INDIVIDUALS. Belief in individualism and equality arose from the Enlightenment and Age of Reason, and with it liberalism and all that it gave birth to, including government of, by and for the people.
Psychological researchers have discovered that attitude toward equality of all is also the single biggest difference between the two big personality groups -- liberal and conservative. We see that, of course.
