(32,086 posts)he's forced to hold his rallies in the middle of fucking nowhere. They're all standing out in a field in the heat, with a line of rain on the way. Which will create another mud pit, like the last rally. Bunch of brainwashed cultists.

You can pray at home 24/7.
You can pray at your like minded friends homes 24/7.
You can pray at your place of worship 24/7.
You can pray at your religious school 24/7.
You can pray silently anywhere in this country 24/7.
They are pissed because they can't force us all to pray to their magical friend.
Fuck all of them.
Move to a theocratic country and leave the rest of us alone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(11,605 posts)They want to force 'prayer'--how about civics education and a mandatory semester in high school all about the U.S. Constitution and amendments?

(50,562 posts)The only thing Trump did about the military is illegally diverted its construction budget to his wall.
Remember those new barracks you guys thought you were getting? Forget them. We need Russian steel marked up double its fair market price to build my wall.

(82,383 posts)the way she put it, an amount of prayer is allowed, so does she think the President decrees a certain amount of prayer each day and she's OK with that?

(6,535 posts)I mean...
- gigantic tax cut for the rich
- weakened U.S. influence in the global arena tremendously, to the benefit of his boss Putin
- appointed all kinds of Christo-fascist and unqualified judges throughout the federal court system, not least of which being the right-wing takeover of the SCOTUS which has led to the success of their decades-long project to get Roe v Wade overturned--I mean come on, that is a huge accomplishment for them
- hopelessly divided the country and caused so much chaos and insanity that any progressive agenda had to be put on pause so that sane people could try to bring things back under the rule of law, which we still haven't really done
- loosened all manner of climate-protection regulations to allow industry to ramp up their destruction of the planet for profit
- oversaw probably the most dramatic transfer of wealth from the working class into the coffers of the super-rich that has ever happened, even in the midst of a global pandemic that his administration helped spread
It's true, he didn't quite pull off what his masters wanted at the end there, he kinda chickened out on the martial law and fucked up the coup, and the U.S. still exists as a nation for now, but these people shouldn't let that take away from all the damage he did--it was a lot.
