The zealots are going to bulldoze through all of the rights that we hold dear and leave us completely powerless.
The wreckage and carnage will leave us in a country that nobody recognizes.
The only thing protecting us from this is Sinema and Manchin.
We are soundly fucked.
I see no way out here. I am encouraging my granddaughters to attain skills that will allow them to leave this country before its too late.
I hope that Trudeau allows some of us to come as political refugees.

(146,317 posts)Aided by fundamentalist Christians, they finally succeeded after electing TFG. Many have warned us about that possibility, but we ignored those warnings. Now, we see the consequences.
We are going to have to elect enough Democrats in Congress and in state legislatures to reverse that. It's not going to be easy, either. It will take unity from Democrats and a willingness to accept less than ideal progressives for such offices. If we fail, we will lose all of our rights and the ability to take back control of our own government.
Very risky times we live in.

I'm sorry, but that's the fact. If it weren't for that, the fundamentalist protestants would still be opposed to the Roman Catholic Church. The reality is that the only thing both groups agree on is human reproduction.
