This is the moment, Democrats.

You have just been handed the key to the motivation necessary to win an even bigger margin of control of congress than you have now.

There is no excuse for not voting for a Democrat in your district or state now.

It's a downhill coaster ride, as long as someone compenent is in charge. Here we go.

I don't think anybody wants to live in a world where dark forces prevail over our everyday thoughts but that's just where the fascists want to put us. Looking over our shoulders at all times lest we be overcome by psychotic LEO's, enforcing rules of which we have no parenting. We're so very close to that at this moment in time.

We must, each of us, vote Democratic for the most progressive candidates who are viable to win in a general election.

viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election, viable to win in a general election,

What I can attest to is that I have cast my ballots and, so far as I can tell, they had as good a chance of being counted as anyone else voting the way I did.

There's a defiant sort of attitude which brings on a kind of swagger that goes with voting Democratic down in good old Duval County, USA. It's kinda like a gauntlet to walk thru all the conservative electioneering benchmarks and templates just to get to the kindly little Nazi man who directs me to the lady who'll look at my ID, sniff and send me on my way. He always wants to give me an "I voted" sticker as I leave. I'm not falling for that. I want to see a sticker that reads "I think I voted". I'll always vote. My Father voted in 2008. He was dying of cancer and my sister pushed him in a wheelchair. She told me that she asked him who he was voting for loud enough for the whole little crowd gathered in the Sunday school/polling place room of the Methodist church in our little 500 pop. town. She told me he shouted OBAMA. He died ten days later. He was not wealthy nor political. Yet more than 50 cars were in his parade to the cemetery. Most, I'm sure, were Republicans.

Their schemes ate pretty transparent. They're opportunists, scavengers, if it's nailed down already they'll pull the nails. Until Americans overcome their innate naivety, they'll be at the mercy of these carnivorous semi sentient creatures. The Democrat's weakness may be that they refuse to publicly label the Republicans to be as bad as they really are and that may be because we don't believe it ourselves.

IMO, it’s the performative centrists and pragmatic incrementalists who should be sidelined, and instead, Dems should use the momentum generated by the overturn of Roe to maximize turnout of youth voters to keep the House, and add two more seats to the senate, enabling the righteous murder of the filibuster, followed by expanding the court to 17-21 seats, codifying Roe, and passing BBB in its original form, with $500 billion allotted for climate change.

Or, Dems could continue to ask Manchin and Sinema pretty please and wait for their reply.

getting us where we are today? It's the incompetence and apathy of our representatives who are comfortable and complacent that's the issue. Our leaders who have been sucking on the government teat for decades. They knew this was going to happen and did fucking nothing to prepare for it, like codifying choice. Do you really think they have the balls to use this ruling to win the mid-terms?

Yes I know I'm going to be flagged for actually criticizing Democrats, but I've goddamn had it today!

... and your reaction is to blame Democrats? That makes no sense.

Who was complacent? Our elected Democratic leaders repeatedly warned us that Roe v Wade was on the ballot in 2016. Some people very pointedly disagreed. They said we were using scare tactics, or that T**** would bring the revolution faster. It's the people who felt comfortable throwing their vote away in 2016 who were complacent.

25 years in a small backward town and statewide for Democrats. The only time I have had any representation of any kind is when a Dem was/is president. Tried and done just about anything and am still doing everything I can to change the politics around me. Things have changed in some metropolitan areas but not nearly enough. Certain "progressive" ideas are frequently cited in my state for things that are negative. Cruz used the green new deal to promote the cause of high energy prices in Texas. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/politics/texas/politifact/article/Fact-check-Sen-Ted-Cruz-claims-Green-New-Deal-17257747.php
Since there is actual no GND legislation here or anywhere, this claim is nonsense but does not stop the idea from taking off. Claims about our border being overrun by "illegals" and drugs are lies stirred up by the State GQP so they can blame those "Biden liberals". https://www.texastribune.org/2022/04/27/texas-operation-lone-star-greg-abbott-border/

This only happened because 80 million people registered to vote did not vote. So while we are all aware that every race in every state every race is important - I hope - we have to motivate at least 5 people per person to vote. It has to become part of our daily lives.

The 13 year old who has to drop out of school to raise a baby. The 15 year old raped by her stepfather and having to have his baby. The women who learns she has cancer and can’t get treatment because death is not imminent (ending with a shot of her grave site). The woman with sepsis who must wait until her body is ravaged and she is near death before she can be treated. The women who are given the horrible news around week 29 that their baby has no heart or no brain or no liver but they must carry a fetus that cannot live to term, damaging emotional and physical health. The poor woman who attempts self abortion who ends up in the hospital or dies. The poor woman who has to quit her job to take care of a severely disabled child, leaving her other children in extreme poverty. And on and on.

The inhumanity of this decision is revolting.

With graphics movie technology you wouldn’t even need “real” children in the ads. 12 year old incest victim being forced to carry the baby. Woman raped and not able to get a morning after pill. Then the aftermath. Nine months later a 15 year old kicked out of the house living in a shelter with her newborn.

Time to get brutal and dirty.

Needs to be sensitive to a diverse opinion-

Not ads for “abortion on demand, all the time”,

But rather a message of “They demand you follow their religion. They demand you conform to ONLY their ways. America needs to respect individual differences, and keep government OUT of the decisions made by men and women most directly affected. TELL them to BUT OUT. Vote For Democrats. “

That message will go much further.

Coming for the last month there should have already been a roll out of ads in key states showing clips of the justices in their confirmations lying about their respect of settle law and precedent. The Dems should also get from now till Nov. hammering the GOP & moscow mitch on the unscrupulous way he went about stealing several seats on the court that should have been filled by Dems.

Please, please, please let this finally wake up the Dems to realize the GOP is deadly serious about destroying the country as it is to make it what their fundamental federalist paper minions want. Thomas is already targeting Gay Marriage and Contraception saying the court has a duty to correct mistakes made.

Dems need to go on the offensive now. Pelosi and Schumer need to start firing the Dems
