(17,318 posts)For some reason I find it easier to read my news on line than listen to it. His attitude is better since he started augmenting his tv time with more History and Smithsonian Channel offerings 🙂

(17,318 posts)years ago. When he retired I was torn between buying him a new laptop or a Bose CD player. I made the wrong choice. He used the lap top twice. I put it on a shelf and then got him the Bose and he loved that.

(7,339 posts)Music on a laptop, even a new one is horrible unless you use headphones and that kind of makes it a high priced walkman lol.

(31,401 posts)before going to bed, to sit and watch the stars--sometimes to catch a shooting one --and listen to the night sounds. Frogs croaking, owls hooting, and occasionally coyotes moving through the woods, yipping as they go.
It is very calming.
