The Uvalde shooting story has been changed more than a donald trump diaper... (Original Post) Wounded Bear Jun 2022 OP

The Uvalde cops screwed the pooch. Then they started lying about what happened. The chief was not just negligent, he might as well have been AWOL; now he's facing a lot of trouble so he's hiding because he's a coward. The governor stuck his nose in, for good measure, and got his fingers burned so now he's trying to make it look like he's in control even though he's clueless.

All around the official handling of this tragedy, we see cowardice, incompetence, negligence and stupidity.

This terrible episode should put to rest the canard that "the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." The good guys had guns and body armor. They had superior manpower and firepower. Yet they didn't stop the bad guy with a gun. It took the Border Police to end this carnage by taking out the gunman.

Doesn't this all seem like what we're seeing?

ETA: By the way, I know that you know all of this. I just wanted to rant a little.

People are obfuscating and throwing out "facts" to confuse people.

It was my intention to imply this point. Thanks for making it clear.

Those cops suck. The city of Uvalde should disband the force then hire professionals instead of these hack wannabes.

As we're seeing major obstructionism becoming well-documented, it becomes apparent this has signature Greg Abbott incompetence and politicization written all over it.

No one checked the door and it was apparently unlocked the whole time (if I understand the newest information).

I really don't know how the culpable law enforcement can live with themselves.
